Is the item I want in stock? - 99% of items for sale via our Web Site are stocked and can be dispatched immediately. Please telephone 01803 226117 if you wish to check.

What size should I order? - We strongly recommend that you use a tape measure to ascertain your accurate measurements. Compare these to the size chart within the advert. If between sizes go for the larger. Please do not guess your size. Checking measurements often avoids wasting money on extra deliveries.

What is the returns policy? - 30 days. We refund the amount paid for the item, delivery charges are not refundable. If you require a different size, please return the item for a refund and process a new order and payment for the correct size.

Do you have a retail shop? - No. We have a Distribution Centre / Warehouse & Offices that are located within a commercial business park - we do not offer retail sales from the premises as this would contravene planning consents.

Can I pick up my order from your warehouse? - We offer a restricted hours collection service on weekdays between 3.30 & 4.30pm. We do have very competitive delivery charges and we dispatch every week day.

What payment options are available? - This web site has a Secure Credit & Debit Card Payment Processing Gateway for all major Credit Cards bar American Express. We also accept Paypal and Google Checkout. Cheques and BACs are accepted, but only for orders exceeding £500. You Commit to Buy only after you have added items to your Shopping Cart, then viewed, selected and accepted a Delivery Method and completed payment via the checkout. This enables you to view, amend and cancel before any payments are completed.

How long will it take for my order to be dispatched? - 1pm is our order cut off time. Orders paid for before 1pm are dispatched that weekday - orders paid for after 1pm are dispatched on the next weekday. Orders paid for over a weekend or on Bank Holiday Days are dispatched on the next weekday.

What are your Opening Hours? - Officially weekdays 9am to 5pm - Unofficially, plus many evenings and weekends! We always respond to emails and voice messages speedily.

How much does delivery cost? - When you add an item to your Shopping Cart the delivery cost will auto calculate. When viewing your Shopping Cart please select your required Delivery Method and Delivery Country. The page will auto refresh and the delivery cost will be shown. When you add or remove items from your Shopping Cart Delivery Costs will update automatically.

How do you calculate the delivery cost? - We have a fair system that takes into account the weight of the goods, the likely package dimensions, your location and the delivery service you select. Most UK Deliveries have two Delivery Service Options, Standard & Get it Fast, you select the service via the Shopping Cart. Toggle between the available delivery options and the actual costs for them are displayed.

What Delivery Companies / Couriers do you use?
Within the UK - "Get it Fast" - This is a Next Weekday Delivery Service. We currently use TNT, Interlink Express & Royal Mail. We charge you the same delivery amount irrespective of the Carrier we select. You should select this service if you need your item/s urgently. Please contact us should you wish to arrange a Saturday "Get it Fast" Delivery at extra cost.
Within the UK - "Standard" - This is our usual delivery option and you should allow 3 days for your delivery to arrive. Most Standard deliveries are Royal Mail 1st Class. A signature on delivery is not normally required but we may upgrade your delivery to "Signed For" (at our discretion).
International Deliveries - where the package weighs less than 2kg and is shorter than 60cm usually it will be sent as a Royal Mail Air Mail Small Packet. If the package weighs over 2kg or is longer than 60cm it will be sent with a Courier such as DPD, TNT & DHL, at our Discretion. Most International deliveries will require a signature.
Problem Countries - We have the right to decline any order to any location and/or to require additional payment to upgrade any delivery. This is most common when we have no confidence with a particular countries postal services due to high levels of crime and corruption, Italy, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico are examples.

Do you deliver to my country? - We can deliver nearly all of the items in our online shop world-wide. (Exceptions include rigid kayaks, pressurized canisters and some spear-fishing equipment, knives etc.) Please contact us if you have any queries.

Do you offer Free Deliveries? - No, here's why. None of our Couriers nor Royal Mail currently offer a Free Delivery Service. So the issue is, who pays! Many on-line retailers advertise Free Delivery but this cost has to be recovered via higher product prices. Typically retailers offering so called Free Delivery add 5 to 10% to their prices. We do not think this is fair or equitable. Lower prices combined with fair delivery charges avoids cross subsidies between customers and ensures that larger orders do not subside delivery costs on smaller lower valve orders.

I live outside the EU, will the VAT be deducted from my order? - All our prices are inclusive of VAT, currently at 17.5%, however, if your location is outside of the EU, the VAT will automatically be removed from the total amount payable once you have selected your Delivery Method and the Delivery Country from the drop-down table on the ‘view cart’ page.

What communication will I receive regarding my order? - We use email to keep you informed about your order, providing you enter an email address when processing your order.
Most Customers will receive 3 emails. Pending usually sent as soon as the order has been placed and successfully recorded in our systems. Processing sent when a member of our team has seen your order and is arranging for the items to be picked from our stock and packed ready for dispatch. Dispatched means that the goods have left our warehouse and are now with the delivery company. Failed please contact via telephone (01803 883932) if you receive an email with this order status as it means that there was a problem with your payment.

Do I need to Open an account? - No. You can view and buy items right away, no account with Blue Water Sports is required.

Do you offer a Price Match Promise? - No we do not think this is a fair sales method.
Here's why - Price Match Promise advertising is a system used by retailers to justify higher prices. Most potential buyers feel confident about the price advertised (because of the Promise) and buy without shopping around. In effect the "Price Promise" encourages buyers not to shop around!
On very very rare occasions when an advertised "Price Match Promise" is checked and subsequently proven not to be the lowest the customer has in effect created loads of hassle!
First he has to contact the retailer to explain that the product bought was not at the lowest price. Sellers often avoid honouring the promise if receipts and other evidence are not produced and oftentimes they'll have conditions in the offers small print that excludes other retailers "end of line" or "clearance prices"!
So most buyers do not bother to check the prices. When they do they'll often conclude that its not worth the hassle and time involved - especially for lower cost items where the price difference was only a few ££s. The retailer can't lose! Higher prices and increased profit and someone else doing price based market research for free!
