The Original Lumb Brothers Flip Up Slate features a strong Velcro closing strap in addition to bungee cords. This means that this slate will not move about and annoy you and especially so when you are looking at pre dive notes / plans / tables or wishing to make a note before you forget.

Most imitations have tried to beat the price, as a result most are simply held in place by bungee cords—these though tend to stretch and move and if you get them too tight they can be mega uncomfortable.

The Original Lumb Brothers Flip Up Slate has 2 flip up pages so you get five writing surfaces.

The writing section measures
5.75 inches by 4.25 inches.

The section that houses the strap & slots is in two different widths.

Narrow Strap = 1.5 inches
Wider Strap = 2.5 inches.

The different widths enable you to select a size to correspond with how far up your forearm you want to position the writing section. Additionally you may like to attach this slate to your arm/wrist with your dive computer / timers straps. Simply thread the strap through the slots - its that simple. The smaller slotted slate is suitable for most Suunto Computers and the larger slots fit most Uwatec Computers.
